Project Life 2014 Ramblings

Yes, I know I have flooded you all with Project Life here lately….but last week was to get the basics of Project Life out there. Now it’s time for the meat! Excited? Yes, I am too. Over the next few weeks, I will be bringing you up to date and sharing with you all my 2014 Project Life. Honestly, I completed Project Life 2013, at the beginning of February….about a week after my projected week I had set for myself to be finish, and it was truly the best experience ever. Just seeing the completed album come together, talk about self gratification at it’s finest! Once I finished Project Life 2013, I took a short break from Project Life and dived in head first into getting my Project Life 2014 up-to-date. I am proud to say that I am now at a good point. Last week I finished Week 14 (April 6-12, 2014), which I hope to be sharing next week with you all (hit: think about black, white and pink all over!) I’m totally stoked! πŸ™‚ So anyway, with that being said I will more than likely be posting this week….today, Thursday and Friday regarding Project Life. Tomorrow I will bring forth a new Technique Tuesday and Wednesday will be another sketch day. So yes, I think I may have my work cut out for me, but it’s all good! πŸ™‚
So for 2014…..let’s dive right in. I found this post on Instagram about the New Moon on the New Year (Jan.1, 2014) and I thought it would be cute to put on the inside cover of my Project Life Album (see below). At the new year we think of New Beginnings, so I thought the wording was perfect for the occasion.
I also decided to go with the Cinnamon Edition 12×12 Album for Project Life this year. I love all of the words and sayings on the album cover. And for my cover page, I decided to keep things simeple. You can of course make your cover page as detailed as you see fit.

For us, I want to make sure that I focus on things that are uniquely us as a family and focus on capturing more of our “little” moments. Since the New Year began on a Wednesday. I started Project Life 2014 with a half week instead of Week 1. You will notice, for me, my weeks began on Sunday and end on Saturday. Again, this is a personal perference. So I started with Week .05

I focused on us celebrating the New Year together as a family…..with champagne for me and the hubby and sparkling apple cider for the girls. We had such a great time and celebrated the New Year twice…with a countdown with the East Coast folks and a countdown for our Central Time Zone Peeps. It was a joy…..followed with taking down the Christmas decorations and loading them back into storage. It was a good second half of a week. πŸ™‚
In Week 1 , we began to get back into our regular schedule with school, dance class, and picking out some good reads for the year.

During Week 2, things definitely started to pick back up, homework was being sent back home, we started planning my Mother-In-Law’s 65th birthday, and it was time for another girls lunch.

In Week 3, we began to have some extra special weather and we celebrated Martin Luther King’s Birthday, where our oldest, Elle told us all about Dr. Martin and his contribution to society. My husband had to pull out his ice scrapper which he hadn’t used since our Nashville days, and our youngest Em did a serious photo bomb while I was trying to take a picture of myself. LOL

The first 3.5 weeks of the new year started off pretty good. I would show you all Week 4 as well today, however, I had a friend who is not a big on scrapbooking and not a project lifer who work on that spread for me. I will be showcasing her story and outtake on the Project Life process with you all on Wednesday so look forward to that!

Until next time, Happy Scrappin’
