Planner Layout: September 28-October 4, 2015

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are adjusting well to the Fall Season. Today I will be sharing my planner layout for this week.

Here is the left side of de of my planner layout. At first I wasn’t sure what I would be using the side panel for so I left this side blank. In the end (not pictured), I decided to go with my usual – a quote.

As you can see, the right side is a bit heavier with stickers, washi tape, stamps and quotes, but that is due to the weekend. And yes, I plan on getting a nap in Saturday and Sunday….I think it will refuel me for the week ahead. 😀

In the end, this is how the two pages came together. I love it!  The quote I ended up using is one by the late Jackie Collins, which states: If you want to achieve your dreams, you must follow them, and the best way to follow them is not to think about wanting to be very rich, but to think about doing something that you really want to do.

Well, here’s to a great rest of the week and I look forward to sharing my October Monthly Layout with you all tomorrow.  I can’t believe it’s already October!!!!!  Thank you for joint me and taking a look inside my Happy Planner.

Until next time, Happy Planning!

Week In The Life 2015 Update

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to give you all an update on my Week in the Life Project from last month that Ali Edwards hosted. While sitting in the car in the Pick Up Line, waiting on my DD to get out of school, I thought it would be a good time for me to start putting the pages together in my Week in the Life Album…well at least putting the photos I place.  I hope to be finish in the next week or two, which at that time I will reveal the final project. Until the, here is a little sneak peek.

Planner Layout:  September 21-27 – How To Incorporate Your Favorite Shows Into Your Spread

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are enjoying your Monday so far. Today, I wanted to share with you all my Planner Spread for this week, and show you how to easily incorporate your favorite shows into your spread. So let’s gets started!

Full Week View

The way I found to easily incorporate your favorite shows is shown above. I knew that with three of my favorite shows having their season premieres this week, I would first use colors that I felt represented those shows. I think red, black, white and hints of gold represent Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder and Empire well.

I decided to do all of my stamped images in red. The with the photos of the shows, I used The PicFrame app to make a photo collage and then printed the pictures for each show. On the left panel I have a quote from Kerry Washington’s character Olivia Pope from Scandal which reads:  You don’t get to run. You’re a Gladiator. Gladiators don’t run, they fight, they slay dragons, they wipe off the blood, they stitch up their wounds, and they live to fight another day.   To say I love that quote would be an understatement, so I had to incorporate it into this spread.

Above, I stenciled and taped off the weekend. The stencil I used was from the Heidi Swapp Collection.

Thank you all for this walk through of how I prepared this spread. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did making it.

Just A Little Note…

Happy Friday Everyone!

Are you all ready for the weekend like I am?  Well, today I just wanted to share a card that I made this morning. I haven’t made a card in quite sometime, but with the Christmas Season approaching I knew I should get back into the habit.  So here we go:

This was just a really quick and simple card as you can see. I used watercolors for my background, then cut the edges for some added dimension.  Next, I stamped my image. I stamped the paper part on computer paper along with the sentiment with Archival Ink. I added the paper to the typewriter with liquid adhesive and foam adhesive so it creates the effect of the paper coming out of the typewriter.  Lastly I inked the edges of the card front and adhered the watercolor sheet to my card front.

Above is an up close view of the card.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Don’t forget to like this post, share comments and follow me on Instagram

Now on to my weekly spreads.

I had just purchased the flamingo stamp from Michael’s and I just had to use it.  With summer coming to a close, I figured I will milk it for what it’s worth! 😀

All three stamp sets were $1 at Michael’s!  I had to get them, especially seeing as how they are the perfect size for decorating a planner.

   September 7-13:

There was a lot going on last week. It’s was the start of getting back into the swing of Dance Class as well as the beginning of Football Season….let’s go Cowboys!  I also wanted to pay tribute to the Heros, victims and survivors of 9.11…a day we will never forget here in America.

And lastly, this week’s spread:

September 14-20:

I’m sitting here trying to figure out when September got so busy. Anyway seeing as how this is the Official Last Week of Summer, I thought this illustration found on Pinterest would be a great add to my planner spread along with this awesome carnival theme Washi Tape that I found at Office Max!
