Chic Planning:  February 22-28, 2016

Hello Everyone!  I hope you all are doing well. Here in Texas, the temps have dropped so today it’s our definition of cold. 😀. Just to get some business out of the way, over the next few weeks, I will be making some updates to the blog. This should in no way effect the posts I make, but I just wanted to let you know that those changes are underway. Once they have been complete, I will let you all know. Thank you.  So……
Today I’ll be sharing with you all my planner layout for this week so let’s get started!

Left Side

This week it’s all about the black and gold so I decided to make the bulk of everything in those colors. On the left side panel, I wanted to use my MAMBI stickers, since they are full of inspiration so the “inspiration quotes” are there.

Right Side

On the right side of the layout I kept things in the black and gold theme. I think I’m in love with this bee stamp by Tim Holtz!  I thought it was a cute addition to the layout.

Chic Planning: February 15-21, 2016

Hello, Hello, Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine’s Weekend. As for me it was a good one. My In-Laws came into town and the girls were hooked up with lovely gifts from both their parents and grandparents.

After church they had a nice little spread waiting for them, along with some McDonald’s for lunch. To say that they were happy is an understatement.  And yes, they table runner was one of my DIY projects last week. I will post about how I made this runner in a future post.

Now on to this week’s planner layout!

This week, I decided to focus on my current favorite color scheme:  pink, mint green and gold…with hints of black and white.

Above is the left side of my layout. I decided to use a quote by Adele in honor of her return to the Grammy Stage. The Grammy’s are one of my favorite award shows so I wanted to be sure to document the show in my planner. The Grammy logo was actually cut out of an ad from my Sunday’s paper last week. I just cute it out and ran it through my Xyron Sticker Machine.

Above is an up close view of the left side of my layout capturing the Grammy sticker.

I feel as though the right side of my layout is a little more toned down from the left side, but I love it all the same. I love this oversized sticker by the Paper Studio that reminds us to “Celebrate the little things.”  I’m looking forward to getting some much needed mixed media therapy in this weekend along with some family time since last weekend was so busy.

Anothe up close and personal view!  This one showcases our Family Movie Night.

Materials Used: Recollections Valentine’s Day – Stamp and Die Kit, Recollections Dimensional Stickers, Clear DmStamp Sets: Heidi Swapp/ Tim Hoktz-French Memories/Chic Tags-Planner Addict/Sandra Amelia-Planner Doodles, Sticko Stickers: Mini Frozen Treats/Glitter Hearts/Make Up Time, the Paper Studio Stick-a-vilified Stickers: Pink and Gold Foil Banner/Happy and You Know It/Glasses/Washi Tape, Target Dollar Spot: Reward Stickers-Holographic Apples, Versa Magic Dew Drop Chalk Ink: Key Lime/Turquoise Gem, Free Printable Stickers from Pinterest, Michael’s Artist Loft Watercolor a Paint

And finally here is my full planner layout – as always, before the pen. I decided to add some watercolor to some of the rectangles this week. I think overall that this layout is fun and happy. And I just love the glasses on the left side of the layout….I think I see a “geek” layout in my future.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed seeing my planner layout as much as I enjoyed creating it. Until next time,

Happy Planning!

February 8-14, 2016 Planner Layout:  All for Love

Hello Loves!!!!!

I hope you all are doing great. This week is the week of all things love…..Valentine’s Day. So I created a fun, love filled layout for this week. I hope you all enjoy it.

Left Side Up Close

If you frequent the Target Dollar Spot then you already know this image of the woman holding the heart….it’s from a card front from the Dollar Spot that I cut down and glued into my planner. Just a side note, I purchased two cards…the second one I will frame as art work in my craft space. :).  Again, I used a Note Pad for the middle hearts banner and for the “Love Notes” as well.  The quote which is one of my favorite love quotes reads:  For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed but my soul.

Right Side Up Close

Here on the right side, I added a washi tape banner along with some cut outs from a 6×6 paper pad. For the Happy Valentine’s Day, I stamped the image onto a sheet from the Love Notes note pad and cut the “Happy” off so it would all fit mostly in the Sunday column as shown above.

Full Speead. Materials Used: Recollections Valentine’s Day 6×6 Paper Pad/Washi Tape, Paperchase Love Notes Paper Note Pad, Target Dollar Spot Magnet List Pad/Washi Tape, MAMBI Sticks Valentine’s Day Stickers, All In The Cards – Victoria Elizabeth Card, Craft Smart $1 Stamp, Wink Of Stella Gltter Brush, Valentine Craft from Hobby Lobby Red/Pink Glitter Heart Stickers/Glittered Gem Cupids, Heidi Swapp Washi Tape

And here is the final spread side-by-side. I think it captures the essence of Valentine’s Day well…soft and lovely.  To go with the quote at the bottom (although you can’t see it here but you can in person), I decided to add glitter throughout the layout on the little cards and on the Sunday column.

I hope you all have a lovely week.  Until next time, Happy Planning!

Super Bowl 50

Hello Loves!

How many of y’all watched the game last night?  Although Cam and the Carolina Panthers didn’t win, it was a good game. The defense for the Broncos really showed up and made it happen!  Big congrats to them and to Peyton for all the records he broke. Here’s my little recap with photo collages:

In case you missed the Pre-Game Show, the Obama’s gave their first live interview together. We had a pretty good and simple spread and Lady Gaga song her tail off for The Star Spangled Banner!

The Pepsi Halftime Show was AMAZING!!!  Coldplay was Awesome, I loved Bruno’s MC Hammer tribute and Beyonce performed her new hit single Formation which brought the house down!

Of course as stated before, the Denver Broncos won the game 10-24. And Peyton has solidified his place in football history!

Cheers to the Broncos!  And yes these pictures will be in and upcoming Project Life spread. LOL

Happy Monday!

Wal*Mart Mini Haul

Hello Loves!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!  Who are you all rooting for?  I think I may be going for the underdogs this year – the Carolina Panthers!  Either way, I think it will be a really good game.

Anyway, I thought I would share with you all my mini Wal*Mart Haul. While looking for a Valentine’s box for my oldest DD, I came across these ultra cute magnetic paper pads and sticky note pads that were $0.97 each!  I just couldn’t resist them. Score!

Happy Planning and enjoy the Super Bowl!

February 1-7, 2016 Planner Layout

Hello Loves!

How is everyone doing?  I am so sorry it took me so long to post this spread. This week has been a little crazy, so I am playing catch up tonight with my posts. Let’s get started on this week’s spread:

With this week being the first week of the month, I had two main goals, stick with a Valentine’s theme, but also incorporate Super Bowl 50 as well.  So the left side is all about the love as you can see in the above photo. The girl on the left panel, the conversation hearts and the blue and pink hearts are all from either sticky notes, or notepads from the Target Dollar Spot that I just cut to size to go with my layout. Don’t be afraid to cut things down or off to create the look you are going for in your spread.

Here, on the right side of my layout I incorporated a little love with a lot of football for the weekend section.  I knew this weekend would be a pretty relaxing weekend seeing as how the last 3 weekends have been pretty full for us, so I decided to take full advantage of the extra space I would have in the weekend section and filled it up with all things football. The NFL logo along with the Super Bowl 50 logo came from my Sunday’s paper, I believe on the 31st of January.

Materials Used: Recollections Valentine’s Day 6×6 Paper Pad, Creatology Happy Valentine’s Day Sticker Book, the Paper Studio Washi Tape, Scotch Expressions Washi Tape, Recollections Fimensionsl Stickers, Target Dollar Zspit 2-pack Dticky Notes, Target Dollar Spot Magnet List Pads, Studio g Stamp, Sticko Everyday Stickers-Tiny Multi Hearts and Mason Jar Live

In this layout I had a lot of fun adding unconventional items to my spread. I love the mix of love and football – the layout almost reads, “For the love of football!”

Also, not pictured here is the quote I decided to use for the left side panel which reads:

“The truth is the Super Bowl long ago became more than just a football game. It’s part of our culture like turkey at Thanksgiving and lights at Christmas, and like those holidays beyond their meaning, a factor in our economy. “.  ~Bob Schieffer

Until next time, Happy Planning!

February Monthly Planner Layout

Hello Loves!

This month, let’s bring on the love!  February is all about love, hugs and kisses and I wanted to reflect some of that love in my Monthly Layout for February. So here is my layout for the month below:

Above is an up close view of the left side of my spread. I wanted to be sure to acknowledge that this month is also black history month, along with this being President Obama’s last Presidents’ Day in office….and I had to give props to Super Bowl 50!  For the quote, I’m not sure who made this statement, but I thought it was fitting for the month.

For the right side of my layout I decided to keep it pretty simple….I decided to keep with the love theme.  While working on this spread, I realized for the first time that February is a high volume birthday month.  LOL. Bring on the cake!!!!

Materials Used: Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Picked Raspberry/Cracked Pistachio/Absndoned Coral/Fossilized Amber, MAMBI Sticks Valentine’s Day Sticker Set, the Paper Studio Stick-a-biliried Floral Phrases, Studio g Neutral Glitter Heart Die-Cut Stickers, Target Dollar Spot Glitter Heart Stickers, Valentine Crafts from Hobby Lobby Red/Pink Glitter Heart Stickers, Target Dollar Spot Valentine’s Sticker Book, Recollections Sticky Notes, Heidi Swapp Washi Tape, Recollections Washi Tape, Scotch Expressiond Washi Tape, Target Spirits Washi Tape, Studio g Michael’s Dollar Stamp Set, Heidi Swapp Wood Stamp Set – Numbers, Images found on Pinterest, Memento Dye Ink Dew Drop – Rose Bud, Versa Magic Dew Drop – Pixie Dust, VersaFine Pigment Ink – Onyx Black

Lastly, here is the full spread. I think it’s pretty, cutesie (I think I just made up a word), and full of love!
