Jane Davenport Collection Haul and Review

Hello Everyone!!!!!

If you’ve been to Michael’s these past few weeks and online, I’m sure you all have seen the new Jane Davenport Collection which is at Michael’s.

The collection at my local Michael’s just hours after they put it out this past Friday!

As for me, I was beyond excited about her collection!  I’ve been following Jane for about a year and a half now. Her Mixed Media art is absolutely amazing and inspiring!

So let’s get started so I can show you all what I purchased!

Here, I have some of her faces stamps, a stencil, some Washi Tape, awesome Mermaid Markers, the Inkredible Pen, and the Butterfly Book (her version of the travelers notebook).

Here is one of the Washi Tapes up close.

Here is the butterfly book. I have it fully open so you can see the front and back covers of the book. It is made from canvas and features Jane’s amazing work.

Above is a paper pack and pencil pouch.

Here is a second Washi Tape set as well as the Paint Over Pens.  These markers have an opaque finishing.

And last, we have the Creative Journal and extra sheets of watercolor paper.

Over the weekend I was able to play a little with the collection. Here is the first page in the insert for the butterfly book. I was working on adding swatches for the Mermaid Markers.

Tomorrow, I will be sharing my planner layout for this week where I used one of the sheets from the paper pad and the Mermaid Markers to decorate my layout.

Here is how I used one of the faces stamps (only her eyes/nose and lips are featured on the stamp itself) and the floral stencil. I used the Mermaid Markers to add color to my background and the face.

I must say like the artist herself, this collection is amazing and inspiring. It is a collection that makes you happy. A collection that makes you want to create.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and I look forward to sharing my work with you all.

Happy Crafting!

Planner/Craft Haul

Hello Everyone!!!!

Today, I wanted to share with you some of the items I’ve purchased over the past 2-3 weeks from Michael’s, the Target Dollar Spot, Dollar Tree and Wal*Mart.  So let’s get started!

First up, Michael’s!

As you all know, Recollections has come out with some pretty awesome planner goodies that are just too hard to pass up. They are truly stepping up their game!  Let’s take a look at these items up close.

Here is the Washi Tape dispenser set with beautiful pinks, blues and gold tones!  I’m totaling loving all nine washi’s!

Above is the back side of the sticker set and sticker books first pictured above. These stickers are so vibrant with cute sayings and pictures!  I can’t wait to use them!

The stamp sets from the planner Accessories are to cute and they come with stencils too!  This set is all things girly!  What better way to capture and add some pizzazz to your planner than with a girls night, party or even staying in your pajamas all day stamp.

The second stamp set I purchased is one for meal planning. Again, this one comes with a stencil as well. I would like to do more meal planning this year, so I hope to use this stamp/stencil set a lot.

On to Wal*Mart and Dollar Tree!

At Wal*Mart, I purchased this adorable hot cocoa, cupcake and macaroon sticker set which will be fun to use for a sweets planner layout page. And for the paw print stickers I plan on using those to highlight activities going on at my daughter’s school…since they are the Tigers. This oh so cute puppy and cat love sticker set from the Dollar Tree. I’m thinking these would look good in any type of layout!

The last set of items I purchased were from the Target Dollar Spot.

Their Valentine’s Day Collection is just awesome this year!!!  I want to buy just about everything, but I have to contain myself.

The satin heart I will use to scatter on my table as part of my Valentine decor. The cactus erasers will be used for the girls American Girl Dolls. I’m thinking they could use one for their desk area and one in the kitchen, or both on the table for their dolls. I will be making decorative paper clips with the felt stickers and the ribbon and trim as an upcoming tutorial so be on the lookout for that in the coming weeks. The pens say:  This and That and Brilliant Ideas. I’m such a sucker for cute pens and these definitely fit the mold!

Lastly, with the canvas stickers, the 3D stickers and the sticker banners, I will be using these in Project Life, my planner as well as for the Valentine’s Day cards that I will make for my daughters. I absolutely love heart stickers!  I use them all the time in my planner to mark anniversaries and birthdays. The arrow ball pen again was too cute to pass up!

If you’re still here with me, thank you so much for sticking through this planner/craft haul!   Until next time,

Happy Crafting!

Mini Haul

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are doing well. I wanted to share my Mini Hauls from the past few weeks. So let’s get started!

Here are some goodies that I picked up about two weeks ago from Hobby Lobby. I will be making a charm for my Mini Happy Planner with the planner embellishments by The Paper Studio. With the Bottlecap Sticker Pack, I will be making some more Epoxy Stickers. And I needed an extra storage tin for my Tim Holtz Mini Distress Inks.

Last week and this week, I found myself at Hobby Lobby, Michael’s and Dollar Tree. And this is what I snagged!

First up, Michael’s!  I purchased these cute planner sticker labels for my Mini Happy Planner. With the Boho Market Necklace, I will be taking the tassel off and adding it to my    Mini Happy Planner Charm. This stamp set was just too cute to pass up….those little rain boots just caught my eye…and captured my heart. I just had to get it!  I hope to use these for some rainy day Scrapbooking Layouts…or maybe in Project Life…or as a Spring Planner Layout for April. You know April Showers bring May Flowers!

These alpha stickers by The Paper Studio have recently become my favorites, so I had to grab me some more.  The Decorative/Washi Tape was so pretty and I can’t wait to use it in my planner. And with the mermaid stickers….my youngest DD will be a mermaid for Halloween so I figured I could use some of these stickers for when I make a layout about her Halloween Costume.

Last up, DollarTree!  I’m kind of on this Emoji kick right now so I thought I would purchase the Emoji Washi Tape and I will be using the pencil Washi Tape for the girls Back-to-School Layouts. And then these bow-tie fashion paper clips will be perfect for my Mini Happy Planner!

So that is it for this Mini Haul.  Everything pictured came out to about $20 with tax included. So I was happy that I didn’t spend too much!  I hope you all enjoyed this post and until next time,

Happy Crafting!

Mini Haul:  Joann’s & Michael’s

Last week I was able to make it to Joann’s and Michael’s. I was really excited about this trip because the closest Joann’s is 45 minutes away so I can only go when I have errands in town to do…and they have a WAY BIGGER Michael’s than my local Michael’s, so it’s always a win-win there.

So let’s get started and see what goodies I was able to find!

First up is Joann’s!!!  At Joann’s I was able to find some Distress Stains. I recently ordered some online and LOVED them, so I was a bit excited to actually see them in the store. The Distress Stain three pack came in the following colors:  Spiced Marmalade, Aged Mahogany, and Chipped Sapphire.  I also purchased a Fiskars Teresa Collins Star Punch, Heidi Swapp Stickers and also the Fresh Brewed Sizzix Die Cut. Every item excluding the punch was purchased at 40% off because it was already marked down to $6.97!

Next up is Michael’s.

At Michael’s everything minus the pumpkin cards were either on sale or on clearance. Here, I purchased a Hot Buy Scrapbook Calendar pack that also came with some die cuts. I will be using this calendar to complete some quick Scrapbooking Layouts. The stamps I purchased were the XO stamp and and a Hampton Art Vintology Stamp & Stencil set. From Heidi Swapp, I purchased a foil kit and some gold stickers that can be used for Scrapbooking, Project Life, my planner or even for a card. Lastly, I purchased this ultra cute pumpkin card set from Timree. I will more than likely be using the pumpkins on the front for my planner, a shaker card and for future Scrapbooking layouts.

Above are all of the products in one photo. I hope you all enjoyed this post. Until next time,

Happy Crafting!

Post Vacation Haul

Hello Everyone!

Today, I wanted to share some of my goodies post-vacation. So let’s get started!

This week I was able to make to make it to some of my favorite places:  Hobby Lobby, Michael’s and Target!!!!  And pictured above is what I purchased.  So let’s break it down by store.

First stop Target!  I purchased Horizon Group USA Tags – Library Card which I plan to decorate and use as bookmarks. Also by  Horizon Group USA the Striped Binder Label Tags which I will more than likely use with my bible journaling. I figured with the Alphabet Ribbon that I would use it for Back-to-School gifts for my little beauties. Lastly, I purchased these oh so cute U Brands ballpoint pens. I just love both the diamond wand and the feather. They both write well….and they were only $1.50!!!!!

Next stop was Hobby Lobby.

At Hobby Lobby, I purchased what I needed as well as a little something extra. I wanted another ink blending tool – the rectangular one to be specific. I have both the rectangular and circle ones, but for whatever reason, I like to use the rectangular ones for Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Black Soot and Vintage Photo. I also purchased this Art-c Ephemera Collage Kit. Yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing what goodies it holds.

Lastly, it’s Michael’s!

I didn’t get too much here:  Heidi Swapp Sticker and Mod Podge Peal and Stick Stencil-Starlite. All of these items can be used for various projects, so I am excited about using them as well.

Well, that is it for this haul. Until next time

Happy Crafting!

Haul x2:  Michael’s and Hobby Lobby

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today I wanted to share my recent hauls from Michael’s and Hobby Lobby.  So let’s get started!

I’ve mixed up all the products so all the ones from Michael’s and Hobby Lobby are spread out between photos.

First up, I purchased an Artist Loft Drawing Pad from Michael’s. I like to use these as pages for the books in my fauxdori. I also purchased a fine tip Marvy Water-In Brush, Dylusions Ink Spray in Cherry Pie and Funky Fuchsia and some Tim Holtz Distress Mini Pad Kit #14 withTwisted Citron, Blueprint Sketch, Hickory Smoke and Ground Espresso.

Next, on I believe Instagram or Facebook, I saw that someone had purchased this storage box for their washi tape and I loved it, especially seeing as how my two washi tape storages are just about full….a girl can never have too many Washi’s!  I also purchased this Zipper Bag that was just too cute to pass up. I will be using it for either my planner pens or small planner stickers for on the go.

Here I have some items that I will be using in Project Life, my Planner and for Scrapbooking. From left to right the items are as follows:  Simple Stories Carpe Diem Sn@p! Pack, the Paper Studio Stick-a-bilities Alpha Black, Gold Foil stickers, Heidi Swapp Stickers, and Becky Higgins Project Life Inspire Mini Kit.

Lastly, I have these two adhesive backing chipboard pieces from Crate Paper. They are a part of he Maggie Holmes collection and the names of them are Open Book and Confetti. There was a third one as well at Hobby Lobby, but I only picked up these two.

Here is everything from the haul all together. I hope you all enjoyed this post. And now I better go and get some creations started!

Happy Crafting!
